2012 Pinot Noir
More than 70 years ago, Peter Neudorf Sr. set eyes on a 20-acre farm and decided that one day he would make it his own. As a boy he was taught an old Plautdietsch saying that he continues to use today, “Wann Aul, Dann Aul”, which Peter interprets as “if you’re going to dream, then dream big”. The property has become known as THE FARM and is located in the heart of Niagara’s wine region. Originally this Pinot Noir was to be produced for the Neudorfs to enjoy with family and friends – luckily they have decided to share.
2012 was a warm yet balanced summer in Niagara. THE FARM Twenty Mile Bench showcases the fine tannins and suave perfumed fruit of the limestone escarpment.
2012 Pinot Noir
When the Neudorf Family acquired THE FARM in 1962, Peter’s dream became Dora’s reality. She looked after the grapes and fruit trees, overseeing every aspect of THE FARM. The doors were always open to family and friends who stopped by, especially on Sundays. She never knew for sure how many would arrive, but it didn’t matter, all were welcome. Aromas from the kitchen and the constant hum of voices still fill the house and Dora continues to ensure everyone is content. This wine is simply an extension of her hard work and unending hospitality. Enjoy.
