THE FARM WINES

THE FARM is a 10-acre vineyard in Niagara’s Twenty Mile Bench, planted to Pinot Noir.  The Neudorf vineyard was originally planted with Pinot Noir in 2000 for Le Clos Jordanne and aptly named “La Petite Colline”, meaning “little hill”, a nod to the gentle slopes that permeate the plot. The project was led by renowned winemaker, Thomas Bachelder, now a close friend of the Neudorf family.  The vineyard was farmed organically from the get-go, a decision that remains a pillar of the Neudorf approach.

The property is rooted in traditions of gathering family & friends, and where Peter and Dora Neudorf call home .

The cellar door opens once a year for guests to taste new releases, and enjoy live music and local food.

Our cellar door opening is fully booked for 2023. We thank everyone for their interest and ongoing support.

This wine comes from the traditional territory of the Haudenosaunee and Anishinaabe peoples, and is an acknowledgment and reminder that our great standard of living is directly related to the resources and friendship of Indigenous people.

Drink Together

Once a year, we open our cellar door for the chance to taste and purchase our wines. Join the list so you don’t miss out!

THE FARM Chardonnay 2021

Cool wet vintage conditions allowed for a bright mineral driven cool climate Chardonnay with texture from lees. The fruit was hand picked from 2 sites and pressed whole cluster. 60% aged in three 500L French oak puncheons on it’s primary lees for 14 months to gain texture and complexity. 40% in stainless at a cool temparature to promote bright primary fruit charachters. Bottled unfiltered.

THE FARM Pinot Noir Black label 2021

80% barrel aged in neutral 228L French oak barrels for 16 months to achieve rounded smooth tannin. 20% in tank at cool temperature to promote bright primary fruit character. It was blended 2 months before bottling and was bottled unfiltered. This Pinot Noir is blended from terroirs across the Niagara Peninsula, using “fruit from friends”.

THE FARM Mason Vineyard Pinot Noir 2020

The Mason vineyard allows The Farm to work with two distinct terroirs within the Twenty Mile Bench appellation. The grapes are handpicked and hand sorted and undergo a wild fermentation (both primary and secondary) with a cold soak and a long maceration on skins post fermentation. The nose and midpalate of this wine lean more towards stewed cherries, ripe strawberries, baking spice and sarsaparilla. A solid backbone with good tannin structure that will soften with additional bottle aging.

THE FARM Neudorf Vineyard Pinot Noir 2020

The grapes are hand picked, hand sorted and undergo a wild fermentation (both primary and secondary) with a cold soak and a long maceration on skins post fermentation. Fermented and aged in French oak barrels ranging from 2nd fill to completely neutral.

The 2020 vintage has a nose that shifts between an intriguing earthiness, wild strawberries, and a soft floral undertone. The midpalate shows the vineyard hallmark – incredible fruit concentration of raspberry and cherry. The texture is silky with fine tannins and an elegant long finish.
